Accounting Clerk - Order Management

Framingham, MA ONSITE REQUIRED

Temporary to Hire (6 Months)

$27-30/hour based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a fast-paced retail operations team during its busiest season. This is a critical role focused on accuracy, customer interaction, and collaboration across multiple departments.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting highly preferred
  • 2+ years Accounting Experience, understanding of General Ledger and basic accounting principles
  • Previous experience in pricing analysis and purchasing QuickBooks proficiency (mandatory)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service mindset with ability to handle vendor-facing interactions
  • Experience in food, retail, or distribution preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be onsite and have excellent attendance

Key Responsibilities

  • Process sales orders and purchase orders with precision (60-250 orders daily)
  • Maintain pricing accuracy and perform price adjustments
  • Set up new items in customer portals and manage EDI transactions
  • Work with major retailers such as Whole Foods, Wegmans, and Roche Bros
  • Run reports, update customer CRM systems, and ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors professionally
  • Support custom pricing and earmarked customer accounts
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams
  • Ability to adapt to evolving processes and team dynamics
  • Must be onsite and have excellent attendance
